Anne Hathaway has walked a blue carpet in Hollywood to rejoice her upcoming animated movie, Rio.

Rio is the story of Blu, a uncommon macaw who travels together with his owner to Rio de Janeiro in an effort to meet his female counterpart, Jewel. Nevertheless, Blu's status as the one male macaw left makes him the perfect goal for thieves and takes him on an sudden adventure.

Anne voices Jewel and is philosophical about her first function as a bird.

"I think a lot of the movie is about discovering your heartbeat and that freedom and confidence that you get that lets you, metaphorically, and actually, fly," the actress said.

Rio is directed by Rio de Janeiro native Carlos Saldanha, who is behind the three Ice Age films.
